Summer Beach Wedding Ideas (Hair and Details)

This is my second post for Summer Beach Wedding Ideas. 

I have already posted some wedding dress ideas and now its time to add some hair and beauty favorites.

Hair blowing in the wind sounds so perfect. What we forget about is that hair may blow in front of our eyes and in our mouth too when we standing at the sea side.

So here are a few ideas that i believe still allow that care free beach look with ought having hair fall in front of your face.

Walking on the beach with heals may be a challenge so many brides prefer to go barefoot for a beach wedding. Instead of having your feet totally bare here are some ideas that i absolutely love.

Every bride want a perfect bridal glow on her wedding day. So why not go for a natural look that provides a glow with earthy colors and, pinks and highlights of gold.

Summer Beach Wedding Ideas (The Dress)

Some of the most beautiful weddings i have seen have been on the beach.

Here in Cyprus we are lucky to have sandy or pebble beaches that hold weddings all year long; But the best months to have a Cyprus beach wedding are probably in May, June and September. July and August months are the most hot and if you are having a wedding in these months you should probably plan to have it in the late afternoon when the sun in not so overwhelming.

Lets start with some dress ideas (my favorite part of a wedding) :)

I love the thought of long soft material blowing in the wind and caressing the sand as the bride walks along the beach. For me a long gown seems a lot more romantic rather then a short one in this case. If you want to have a sexy streak to your style why not consider a open back or a slit dress that will allow you to move freely and still look amazing.

Well here it the basic recipe to turn heads... RED Lips & Catty Eyes.

A lot of woman are afraid that Red lipstick will not suit them or are afraid that their lips are to plump or to thin to pull such a look off.

Well here is a secret: Red lips suits every girl as long as you have the personality to carry it. And even if you do not have a larger than life personality; Applying a shade of red on your lips immediately provides a empowering feeling of confidence. If you don't believe me, why not take a look at a few ladies who have mastered the Red Lip and have made it their Signature look.

Red lipstick comes in so many shades and tones, so with just a little research and testing you can be sure to find the perfect pout.

If you have fair skin: Tones of rep that tilt a little to the orange will suit you. 

If you are fair with yellow undertones: Shades or red that have pink tones will probably not be suitable. Warm brick red tones probably be a better choice.

For sun-kissed skin: Why not try dark, deep lips with gold undertones.

With a beige complexion: you are lucky and have the rare advantage of pulling off bright orange lipstick.

For Golden Skin: More neutral and earthy colors will look good on you such as a red/brown.

If you have a bronze complexion: Lucky you, you can wear just about any shade you like.

For olive complexion: pink/red combination will make the undertones of your skin stand out. 

Dark skin with natural gold undertones: The range of warm shades will probably be most flattering; Try matte orange/red.

Do you have Deep, dark skin: Then the cooler tones will make your complexion radiant. 

Cat Eye:

When you have Vibrant Bold Lips there is no need to overdue the eye makeup. A clean cat eye will compliment this look well. 

If you would like to put a little more detail to the eyes, you can always combine a soft smokey eye.

Nevertheless, this whole look is timeless and beautiful and if you do chose this for your special day i guarantee it will get people talking.

Special Meaning songs to play on your wedding day

Hello everyone,

Its the week end finally! I have been looking forward to the chance to curl up on my couch with my laptop on my knees and a hot cup of tea. 

During the week i got a phone call from Louis our wedding videographer from Christodoulou Photography; It is exiting to know that the video is getting put together and that i will soon be curling up on the couch getting ready to relive our special day.

Anyway Louis asked me to make a list of a few songs that will play on the video, he specified that the chosen songs should be songs that have special meaning to us to make the video extra special. I thought it would be fun to share our chosen list with you, so here it goes:
